In general, most clothing items will resell for 30-40% of the retail value of the item depending on demand for the particular style, brand, ect. The consignor will receive 40% of the sale price. The entire 40% may be used towards an in-store credit or some consignors choose to take a check. Please note the check will be at 0.8% less than the 40% to cover store costs and processing. Allow consignors to know that they are more than welcome to figure the math is advance. We are more than happy to put a price of "their" choice. The items price may not be what we would put on, but we are certainly willing to try.

Checks are written Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays when Laurie is in.


What is it worth?

Items will be displayed for 90 days. Consignors are responsible for monitoring this period and making arrangements to retrieve any unsold items prior to the 90th day. Items cannot be retrieved after the 90 day contract period, as items are donated to charity. We are able at times to do an inventory list for customers. Please let us know if this is something you would request that we do for you.


How long will my items be displayed?

Two bags, boxes, or plastic totes of clothing per consigner/per week. From the 15th -30th of every month. Toys, furniture and household items may be brought in at anytime all month long. Appointments are not necessary at Sweet Peas. We are open M-F 9-5 and S-S 10-4. 


How much great stuff can we take?

How should you bring items in?


Consignors may bring in items in whatever container works for you. Feel free to bring in pressed or dry cleaned specialty garments on hangers on hangers, but we will switch them out with our own. A manager will review your items quickly and determine what can be accepted for sale. Upon more careful consideration and pricing, we may mot be able to accept some of your items. Items later determined to be unsellable due to defect, stains. marks, ext. will be donated upon discovery so please be sure to check and double check your items prior to bringing them in. 


Ask yourself if you would buy the item(s) you are consigning, is a good rule of thumb. Items should be "like new" condition. Clothing should be clean and free of stains, odors and fading and good quality. Toys, gear and equipment should be clean and in perfect working order with all the pieces, components and batteries, ect. Please note that even though your items may fit these guidelines, we won't always be able to accept them. Current customer preferences and display capacity factor significantly into any and all decisions. In consideration of our staff and customers with allergies, we cannot process nor will we accept clothing items with pet hair on them.

We accept Fall and Winter items starting in September. Spring and Summer items are accepted in February.
